Costa Maya, Mexico

Being indulgent is exhausting,
so we spent our day in Costa Maya relaxing on the beach.

And when sitting became too exhausting,
Gary found another way to relax.

Couldn't resist -
$20 got his 40 min massage and then 15 minutes on my feet. Aaahh...

This isn't an add for skin cancer prevention -
I only include it so that you can see the monster of a ship we were on.

The happy couple overlooking Costa Maya
after a great day of doing nothing.

Cozumel, Mexico

The $11 for the 30 minute ferry ride from Cozumel to the mainland
should have included a big bucket for each rider - it was BAD!

TULUM
Mike & Melodee
Gary & Lisa
Kristen & Mike (from Orem). We don't know them - do any of you?

more Tulum
For all the pesos in our pockets
we got this sweet ride back to the ferry
courtesy of Jalepeno.
If only Jalepeno could have gotten us back to Cozumel...
oh, that nasty ferry!
Last night on the ship. I'd say it worked -
we look more relaxed and ready to face reality again...
until the next cruise anyway!

Ft. Lauderdale Airport-
5 hour wait for our plane -
only available seats.
Wheelchair races anyone?

Here I am on the way out--you can get a sense of how steep and slippery it is.  Or maybe you can't, but it really was.  Dad will upload the pictures on snapfish if you want to see the rest of them.  There was a WWII tank along the way and you will see how green it was.  It was a really hard hike, but it was worth it.
I hope you can recognize the great "white" body under the waterfall--You got it--Dad!!  We didn't take our swimsuits, so Dad took off his shirt and belt and jumped in with his pants on.  It really was very beautiful down there and the YM (ten of them and 1 YW) kept jumping off the cliff.  They were having such a great time.
Dad and I went on a hike this morning to a waterfall in the middle of the jungle.  The soil was like grease it was so slippery and as you can see the bridge is beginning to deteriorate due to the humidity.  If you notice the branch from the palm tree in the foreground--I was holding on to it so I wouldn't fall down the ravine into the river--well it almost broke off the tree and I almost went down. YIKES!!

HELP!
I can't find my recipe for ricotta gnocchi.
Did I happen to pass it on to any of you
before losing it??
(I mean the recipe...not my mind.
Although I honestly could be referring to either!)

Thanks, Lisa

The Nativity; Chaos-Style

This picture has nothing to do with the Nativity - this is a dress that Grandma gave to Lily for Christmas and I wanted Grandma to see how pretty she looks in it. The rest are Nativity pictures - which was a blast! I can't wait to get our parts for next year!!! (I am actually being a little bit serious when I say that)

Jane the Narrator

Our ladybug just doesn't look that exited about all this.

Sam the innkeeper (stepping in for Clara who had a bit of stage fright)

Mary and her midwife (a.k.a Gracie)

The angels with Lily saying, "And this shall be a sign unto you..."

Our handsome shepard, Andrew

"I brought Gold!"

"I brought Mehr!"
